Аннотация: Classical elements permeate global academic discourse and scientific terminology. Understanding the meanings and functioning of these elements can help multilingual scholars cope with disciplinary literature and write for publication and is therefore essential in teaching English for academic and specific purposes. However, few manuals on academic vocabulary ex-plore word-formation in-depth or use it as a tool to alleviate learning through analysis and syn-thesis rather than memorizing words. Russian, as many other European languages, is a synthetic language in which affixation is as productive as in Latin. The paper presents a well-designed and approbated course of academic vocabulary for social scientists, analyses relationships between linguistic studies and teaching academic vocabulary, and discusses the ways of increasing the effectiveness and clarity of teaching by more systematic study of classical elements, enhancing students’ analytical skills through innovative methodology and using the advantages of similari-ties between Russian and Latin word-formation. Comparative analysis demonstrates that the key features of the course, such as interactive computer-based visual materials and various ana-lytical tasks involving students’ background knowledge and academic awareness, help students not only decipher unknown words, but also produce neologisms, which is essential in coping with new terminology. Published as a book, Academic Vocabulary for Social Sciences is now available for teachers, students and researchers as a resource for study and self-study. The ef-fectiveness of the approach demonstrates that it can be used as a model to design similar specific vocabulary courses for students of other synthetic languages.

Аннотация: This article is devoted to the study of codependence as socio­psychological factor that affects the personality characteristics of co­addicts. Co­dependence is regarded as a persistent state of insuperable, often painful, dependency, based on relationships with a significant person who suffers from one type of dependence. A distinctive feature of codependence is self­destructive attachment to a substance­dependent substance, accompanied by specific emotional, psychological and behavioral manifestations. To conduct the study codependence as socio­psychological factor that affects the personality characteristics of co­addicts, an applied research was conducted. Object of the study: co­dependent mothers whose relatives suffer from any kind of dependence. The subject of the study: socio­psychological characteristics of codependence. The purpose of the study: the study of socio ­ psychological characteristics of codependence and its influence on the peculiarities of the occurrence of addictions in the family. 1. Constructive­destructive family (KDS) (E.G. Eidemiller, VV Yustitsky). 2. Methods for determining codependence D. Fisher, adapted by V.D. Moskalenko. 3. I­Structural Test of Ammon (ISTA). According to the results of the study, the existence of a relationship between co­dependence and manifestations of mental states (frustration, aggression, anxiety). In addition, the study showed that destructive­deficit functions predominate in the structure of the personality of co­addicts, which indicates a «contact breakage», i.e. on the severance of relations with himself, with other people, with the world around him

Аннотация: This work is devoted to the study of centrifugation processes, which are one of the most complexprocesses of technology. The use of the action of the centrifugal force field for the separationof heterogeneous liquid systems in a rotor system (centrifuge) is very effective. Separability ofcentrifuged materials, multiphase dispersion, the relationship between phases cause ambiguousprocesses of centrifugation, and therefore it is not always possible to accurately predict and evaluatethe main characteristics of the separation of heterogeneous systems in the centrifugal force field.For a qualitative assessment of the main separation characteristics, such as the angular velocityof rotation, the dependence of the angles of inclination of the glasses on the angular velocity, thesettling time of particles, etc., is created a mathematical model of the vertical rotor system. Therotor represents a round disk on which cups (vial) with a multiphase liquid are symmetricallysuspended. A particular case of a fixed rotor is considered. Nonlinear differential equations ofmotion of the suspension particle, which have no exact solution, are obtained. The research isconducted by analytical and numerical methods. The dependence of the slope angles of the tubesfrom the angular rotational speed of the rotor, sedimentation curves are obtained , which allowestimating the time of particle deposition and the effect of the particle size distribution on theseparation process. The results of this research work allow us to determine with sufficient accuracyall the necessary characteristics of the sedimentation working process, and also, in certain cases,it is possible to exclude the conduct of experimental work. The results of the work confirm thephysical meaning of the process, which can serve as a justification for the use and introduction ofthis mathematical model in industrial production.

Аннотация: The relationship between special investigative measures and criminal prosecution actions is one of the most complicated and current issues specific to the legislation of the Republic of Moldova. In the paper the author discusses the national legal provisions that prevent the positive solution of this problem, highlights the essential similarities and differences between these two entities and analyzes the differences between the legal status of the results obtained, on the one hand, by conducting special investigative measures and, on the other hand, by carrying out criminal prosecution actions. In conclusion, even after the integration of special investigative measures in the Code of Criminal Procedure or the Republic of Moldova their legal status remains different from that of criminal prosecution actions. By carrying out these measures, information is obtained as before, not evidence. They can become evidence only if they pass the criminal procedural examination.
