Аннотация: Формирование интеллектуального потенциала общества невозможно представить без изучения иностранного языка. Несмотря на достижения традиционной дидактики и инновации в педагогике, современные тенденции в практике преподавания иностранного языка подрастающему поколению не являются оптимистичными. Среди типичных трудностей, прежде всего, следует отметить низкую интенсивность речевой деятельности учащихся, что существенно влияет на качество обучения. Стимулировать коммуникативные потребности при обучении иностранному языку вполне возможно, и в то же время повысить социокультурный фон речевой деятельности на основе использования коротких рассказов
